Your brain can either HELP you find a job or HIDE job opportunities from you
Your brain can either HELP you find a job
or HIDE job opportunities from you.
It all depends on...
...influencing your subconscious.
(whoa...here she goes, people. here comes the psych babble.)
Listen, who here likes a velvety smooth Mercedes?
or a Tesla? Or a 👉 Toyota 👈 🙋♀️ (the ultimate, perfect driving machine, obvi)
The point is this.
You've probably experienced the Inflated Frequency Effect that happens when you start thinking about buying a specific model of car.
Suddenly those cars are ALL OVER the road, right?
This happens if you're expecting your first child, too.
Suddenly there is something in the water
and EVERYONE is having a baby.
This is called cognitive bias or the Baader-Meinhof effect.
And what's better?
You can USE this to find your next medical sales opportunity -- subconsciously.
But there's a trick to it (read on)
Recently, I had a consulting client reach out because he wasn't getting bites after applying to dozens of healthcare companies over 6 months. It was crickets and ghosting all day.
He was transitioning in from real estate and "open to anything."
But the brain is a master filter -- curating our perception of reality by focusing on -- you guessed it -- a specific target.
So I told him to pick ONE target and continue networking.
(crazy right?)
Not so.
Once he did, his brain subconsciously started LOOKING for these things bc he decided it was important.
Even when he didn't realize it.
So set a target he did: CRISPR technology companies
So the brain did what it does best and CURATED his world -- highlighting what he wanted when it was present.
Things he would have normally overlooked.
Suddenly, all he noticed were CRISPR technology roles. Everywhere.
They were popping up more frequently than Rogaine commercials after clicking on JUST ONE WIG AD on Amazon (it was for a party! sheesh!)
And you can do this, too.
The result?
He called me 8 days later. Not with leads -- but with an INTERVIEW with a hiring manger at one of the CRISPR technology companies on his Top 5 list.
Boom.
It's psych at it's finest and it works.
Put your brain to work for you.
